After years working in the operating room, Dr. Sara understands the physical, mental, and emotional trauma related to surgeries and procedures. She uses guidance and proactive skills to help individuals prepare for surgery and optimize healing through the combined use of contemporary therapeutic techniques like nutrition and mind-body therapies. Based on her personal experience with chronic disease, she began a journey of healing through identifying and working with the root cause of disease, not just the symptoms. Dr. Sara is passionate about educating colleagues and clients on lifestyle medicine to help reduce the need for surgical interventions and avoid the catastrophic consequences of chronic disease.
After earning her certification as an integrative nutrition health coach, Dr. Sara now specializes in working with physicians and healthcare professionals, emphasizing self-care, and blending a unique model that combines lifestyle medicine, mind-body medicine, coaching tools, and emotional intelligence. She facilitates Mind-Body Medicine skills groups for both health care professionals and offers consultations on Perioperative Integrative Care, health coaching for healthcare providers, and co-facilitates food as medicine teaching kitchens
